Antique Metal Hat Box has a Brass Handle & Embossed Plate of Maker, “Rosenfeld Bros NY Clothing House Baltimore MD”. It’s not just a hat box but has 3 compartments for accessories such has gloves. It measures 12” x 9” x 6 1/2”. Painted black with tole painting in gold of the former owner’s name, “H.D. Hinckley”. The black paint is worn in some areas, especially the bottom, there are minor normal use dents along the back of the top and front. It has a small sliding rod to open and close the box in front and again to access the compartments inside. There’s some rusty patina in them but overall, the box is in very good condition. A fine box for a well dressed gentleman, it’s an old one. Please see the photos for more description.
