Sony CDP-CX300 Mega CD Changer, COMPLETELY REFURBISHED

This is a very solid machine in great condition. It has been adjusted and aligned to make it as perfect as possible. Quiet and sure operation. It will hold 300 CDs that you can catalog your way. Imagine Shuffle Play with 300 discs!
The exterior is in really nice condition. The front left corner of the sheet metal cover has a slight wave in it. Fits properly and is barely noticeable. The finish of the cover is nearly flawless otherwise. See photos.
Some of the steps from our checklist to bring these units back to nearly new condition:
Install all
3 new belts
(Table, Load and Door). Clean pulleys.
Disassemble, clean and lubricate mechanical assemblies. Remove and wash disc tray in dish detergent to eliminate grease, dust.
Thoroughly inspect all mechanisms for correct and quiet operation
Reset memory to factory (shipping) mode
Clean laser on optical drive. Check and lubricate mechanism for free movement. Locate and repair cause of CD skipping problems.
Check tray alignment and operation of positioning sensor. Adjust using oscilloscope if necessary.
Check electrical cord for damage
Examine wiring and check that all connectors are fully seated
Replace missing screws
Check fluorescent tube brightness
Run diagnostics, if needed, per service manual
Check audio and disc selection accuracy. Adjust if necessary.
Thoroughly clean and polish the outside case
The machines in the Sony CDP-CX series are very robust and dependable. We seldom see worn out parts, other than belts. Most issues come from misaligned or dirty assemblies caused by rough treatment and improper storage. Units with serious damage caused by dropping are not listed for sale and become parts donors.  Only machines that pass our rigorous testing procedures are eligible to be listed for sale.
