Technics Professional SL-P1200 CD Player vintage with REMOTE Control

Description

This is the legendary SL-P1200 CD Player from Technics.  I am listening to this unit play Bob Dylan as I prepare this listing.  The first time I plugged it in, it read the disc and took right off when selecting PLAY.  The next time it would only initially read the disc but not play.  However, if you open the lid and manually start the spinning process and then close the lid and press play, it seems to work just fine.  Also,
if you tap the lid that will also begin the spinning process.  I
have read that the spindle height adjustment on the bottom of the unit probably needs an adjustment, but I am leaving that to the new owner.  If my dad were still alive, he would say this thing is built like a brick you-know-what house !!
The pitch control works and the search function works, both in slow and fast mode.   The remote control model number SH-R41 remote control is included.
Due to this intermittent issue, I am selling as is, as pictured, as described.   Please read my feedback and buy with confidence.  It will be packed like a kitten for a safe arrival and if you're wondering, YES, I will lock the transport (peg on bottom) prior to shipping.
