Vintage 1920s Large Disney Cardboard Men's Hat Box Decorated with Currier & Ives Prints Around the Outside - "A Home on the Mississippi"; "American Forest Scene Maple Sugaring"; Peytona and Fashion in Their Great Match for ,000"; & "Trotting Cracks on the Snow"
Offered is an original Vintage 1920s Large Disney Cardboard Men's Hat Box Decorated with Currier & Ives Prints Around the Outside - "A Home on the Mississippi"; "American Forest Scene Maple Sugaring"; "Peytona and Fashion in Their Great Match for ,000": & "Trotting Cracks on the Snow".  This Disney Men's Hat Box measures 15 1/4" long; 13 1/2" wide; & 7" tall (to the top of the lid).  The top of the lid has a yellow printed-on memo sheet that says "A Mr. Disney Hat for ____________" that is not filled in.  The Lid says "DISNEY HATS" in pale yellow fancy lettering all around the outside edge.  Along with the Currier & Ives Prints, the outside of the Box has a vertical band with blue "DISNEY" in fancy lettering between the prints. The bottom of the box has a Lord & Taylor address label dated 5/21 that is still attached.  T
he box has no tears or seam separations.  It does have some edgewear, scratches, and a little chipping that are shown in the photographs.
The bottom of the box has a large moisture stain that goes through to the inside.  The inside bottom has spotty foxing.  The graphics & lettering around the outside have some fading.  The original black string has been split into 2 pieces.
The Lid has no tears or seam separations.  It does have a little wear.
